The SACDO School is one of the key programs of the Sudanese American Community Development Organization (SACDO). Based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, the school primarily focuses on teaching the Arabic language to Sudanese American youth while also promoting cultural identity, values, belief, and traditions.
The central mission of SACDO School is Arabic language education. By learning Arabic, students strengthen their connection to their heritage, build communication skills, and gain a deeper understanding of their cultural and religious values.
In addition to Arabic, the school offers complementary areas of study and enrichment, including:
– Quranic and Islamic studies
– Sudanese history, traditions, and culture
– workshops, cultural celebrations, and fun community events
These activities help students stay focused, engaged, and connected to their community while developing both academically and personally.
